Job Description:

This person will create and modify CNC programs for company operations on Lathes and Mills.  This person may create drawings, maintain setup and tool sheets and design or suggest fixtures.  This person will usually process the job requirements  for the operation as to speeds and feeds, clamping, fixturing, inspecting, tool selection and other requirements.  This person will monitor actual process and determine if it is optimized and accurate.  The person will work for the Engineering Manager and with peers in creating an efficient machine process.

Required Skills:

Knowledge of CNC programming and tools particularly TekSoft and Smart Cam. Good knowledge of machine processes, machining methodology, fixtures and tooling.  Accurate and organized data management skills.  Problem solving capabilities and mechanical perception are required.

Job Responsibilities.

This position is responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient production of machine programs.  Production of all support documents such as setup and tool sheets is also a responsibility.  Program optimization and programming follow-up  is another responsibility.  Responsible for following the process from beginning to good part production.  Responsible for adequate description and training of part loading and unloading.  Responsible for programming and implementation of machine de-burring operations.
