Job Description:
Typical duties include:

• working closely with operators, manufacturing, quality control, engineering and management to correct/improve daily issues, preventing their recurrence;
• assist management on training the operators in areas such as general machining processes, blueprint reading, gage operation, etc.;
• reviewing existing processes and equipment and documenting continual improvement suggestions;
• Offering suggestions for new processes, monitoring development (ie, modifications and upgrades) and troubleshooting;
• ensuring the process operates at an optimum level;
• taking measurements directly, as well as collecting and interpreting data to determine process capability;
• ensuring that all aspects of an operation or process meet customer specifications and regulations;
• Validate and document employees attitude, aptitude, willingness and ability to perform their  job function while identifying training opportunities;
• Audit the inspection process and provide applicable approval(s).
• Present quarterly process performance report to management during scheduled Mangement Review Meetings.

Required Skills:

Workable knowledge of all CAM Manufacturing shop processes.  GE Aviation DSQR certification, proven leadership ability, positive attitude, people skills and organizational skills.  Problem solving abilities, blueprint reading ability, training skills and team oriented.

Job Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for optimizing new and existing processes.  This will be accomplished through monitoring the processes while documenting continual improvement suggestions, training operators on general machining and inspection procedures.  This person will help those with lesser skill.  Proper documentation of paper work and notes for communication with following shift.  This person is responsible for reporting, in a timely manner, any discrepancies or concerns to the Operations Manager and Quality Assurance Manager.
